Misfit

Thanks Angie,

He has already stolen everyone's heart in the house and makes it seem like he has been.here forever. His most constant companion is our pit bull and last night the dog even gave him a tour of the house by walking behind him and gently nudging him around from room to room. It was just too cute to watch. Here are a few pictures of Misfit's first night/morning in his new home. We will be sure to send more as he gets bigger.

Rocky

Hi Michelle and Judy!

I know this is a long time coming but I wanted to let you know how great Rocky is doing and how big he has gotten! We just finished up his puppy training course last week and not only was he teacher's favorite, she also suggested he would be a good candidate for therapy work. He has a really sweet and calm disposition but also very smart! We have a lot to learn before that happens but if Rocky is up to it then so am I. We will sign up for intermediate training shortly. I have attached a few pictures so you can see how much he's grown.

Hope you are both well. I never hesitate to tell people how wonderful Magnificent Mutts is!

Take care,
Barb

Jolly aka Rofi

Hi, Angie.

This is Theresa Jolly. My family and I adopted Rofi (my daughter re-named her Rosie) back in August of 2012. Just thought I would send you a pic (in her daddy's arms as she likes to be carried - football style, much like all babies!) of her as she is today - a big, beautiful, healthy member of our family. She's quite vocal and extremely playful. She also likes to cuddle with everyone and isn't shy around visitors. Thank you so much for helping us find the perfect addition to our family!

Onyx

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share some pictures and a brief update on Onyx, the dog my husband and I adopted this past summer. The wonderful foster mom who fostered Onyx gave me her email and requested updates, but I have lost both her name and her business card. It's been a crazy busy time for us, but since I have a few moments I'd like to say that Onyx is doing great. She gets along very well with our cats, even though the cats still aren't sure about her. Shortly after we adopted her we temporarily added a third cat, Bob, to our home. Onyx and Bob got along great together. Bob got away with murder because Onyx was always there to back him up. :) Not long after Bob found his forever home, a kitten found her way into our home. Onyx and the kitten, Callie, were friends right from the get go and when Callie left for her forever home, Onyx whined after her. Since then, Onyx has found the pleasures of barn life quite agreeable (even though she still HATES the car). She has a pit bull buddy and she
loves to try to herd the horses. The horses just ignore her, but Onyx still believes she's the boss out there! :)

If you know who Onyx's foster mom was, please pass this on. I'm sure she would love to see the pictures.
Thank you for helping us find such a wonderful member of our family!

Astro aka Bacala

Hello-
Happy New Year!

I am Astro, formerly Bacala, I was adopted in November from Magnificent
Mutts, and I love my home! I am growing quite fast, and I even grew out
of my puppy crate! My ears are just now starting to stay up, I am told I
am adorable. I love to run with Abby, (though I am not as quick), I do
try to catch up. I love to hang in the kitchen while my family is
cooking, I tend to get in the way a bit, but they don't seem to mind. I
enjoy cuddling, watching all the fish swim around the tank, playing,
running and going for car rides. I just had my first Christmas, and boy
did I llike that! I was so excited and worn out at the end of the night,
I fell asleep under the tree!

Gabby

Wayne & Linda,

I wanted to share our first photo with you - Gabby has VERY quickly adjusted to her new surroundings.

If you'll remember I was worried about her with the cats, well, I had nothing to worry about! She was fine with them, THEY on the other hand have an attitude with her!! (but they have an attitude with EVERYTHING!!)

I have posted this picture on our FB pages - please feel free to "friend" us to be able to see more of Gabby in the coming days, weeks, months!!

Thank you again for giving us another "baby" to love!!

Mulan

Happy New Year! Figured I'd let you know how Mulan is doing.

Mulan has been doing great! She really likes to play now that she's not so shy
around us anymore. She can now sit on command and we're currently teaching her
how to give paw. She's made a friend in George's family's dog, Babs, who is a
beagle. They love to nap together. Mulan has also gained about ten to fifteen
pounds since we first got her, which is great! Mulan really loves the cold
weather and she's now shedding like crazy so she can wear her winter coat. I
can't wait till it snows a good amount so we can play with her outside!

Once again, thank you so much for all your help Kris! I attached a couple photos
for you as well.

Tabby, I mean GABBY!

We are German Shepherd owners. A year and a half ago we lost our female, Kazmir, at the age of 9 yrs old to cancer. Her brother, Justice who will be 11 on 2/2/13, was devastated. It took more than 6 months for him to become "normal" again. Recently a friend sent us a picture of 'Tabby' on Facebook - a beautiful 8 year old spayed German Shepherd female. My husband and I talked about her & decided to sleep on it. The next morning Brian said he dreamed of her and we should pursue bringing her to our home. After filling out the online application, getting approved and setting a "meet & greet" date, we traveled (with Justice) to meet 'Tabby'. After arriving we learned her real name was GABBY - it was a typing mistake that changed her name. She took to Brian immediately and then warmed up to me and Justice. Once home, she fit right in! I was a little apprehensive about her meeting our cats and parrot as we didn't know if she'd ever been around those types of animals....my worry was
unwarranted. She looked at the bird & then walked away even though Larry Bird was squawking at her! The cats on the other hand had an attitude with HER - but then cats have an attitude towards everything and everyone! She walks/runs beautifully with my husband and with me & Justice! She's got a sweet, gentle temperament - even when getting her ear medicine! Now it's just a matter of getting used to all the loving we're ready to shower on her! I can hardly wait for Spring so she can experience "life on the Rock River"! Thank you Magnificent Mutts for finding and rescuing this little gem! We are truly blessed with Gabriella Rose Boyer (Gabby) in our family!
