Romy's Happy Tail

Good morning!

First night went great! Forrest curled up in the puppy-proof bathroom with Romy....so he wouldn't feel so alone on his first night away from his littermates....while "the big dog" slept just outside the gate, watching his boys....

Day two, still batting 100% on going outside! I have a stack to towels, knowing puppies....

And life is good.....

Sarge and Shirley (Frick and Frack)

Hi All -

Just wanted to update you on the pups. They are doing great and adjusting to our home so well that we know they were meant to be here with us. We love them so much and are having such a great time. They already know sit and stay, and are walking on leashes :) Here are a couple pictures of them for you.

Finley!

Just wanted to give an update on Finley.
Our 7 year old German Shepherd died suddenly in October & we were devastated. When we were ready for another dog, we knew we wanted another Shepherd, but were having such a hard time finding one that would be compatible w/ our 3 young kids & cat. We had just about given up & just for the heck of it, we went into Petco in Hillside and there was little Finley, sleeping so peacefully,( boy he had us fooled)! My husband knew right there, he was meant to be ours!
When we adopted him in December, he was 37lbs, today he is75lbs!! It took him a bit to get used to our 3 young girls, but now he loves them to death & vice versa. He is everywhere we are, literally!! We can't leave the room without him following us.
He loves playing catch w/ his ball & chewing cow hooves (ewww!)! And chewing on a random barbie doll or kids toy. And of course, chasing the cat.
My girls love "training" him w/ treats & as long as the treats keep coming, he does everything they tell him to do. He graduated from Pet Smart obedience, and next month he will start obedience classes at the Lincolnwood Kennel Club.
He LOVES playing w/ Sully (formerly known as Tater) who lives across the street from us. They are best buddies!
We love him to pieces. Thank you Magnificent Mutts for letting us rescue Finley.

Tinkerbell "Autumn"

Hi Angie,

My daughter sent you the picture of Autumn earlier. I wanted you to get the photo of Autumn before she got any bigger. I've named her Tinkerbell "Autumn" Cunningham. She is such a sweetheart and the perfect cat. She is so gentle, eats well, sleeps well and is not at all a scaredy cat as well as being totally friendly and affectionate. She got her first physical last week. I'm so happy to have Autumn as my pet. Cute, cute cute.

Thank you for all the good care you gave her. I will send you pictures from time to time to show you her growth. This picture was taken today, March 26th. You are also welcome to come and visit her, of course.

Sincerely,

Lynne

Faith aka Anya

This is Faith Noel (you knew her as Anya) adopted Feb 18th. Her big sister, Hope,
has grown to love her - they cuddle and Hope grooms Faith every day.
Faith has a lot of energy. She had a cold when I adopted her, but has
recovered just fine. She will be 12 weeks old tomorrow. Just thought
you would like to see how she is doing.
Thanks again, Lynn Spehn

Bear and Moose

Hi Michelle!

We are very happy with our boys they are so damn cute and so much fun. I've attached a few pics we love exploring the forest preserves on the weekends. We have taken so many pictures and we just feel lucky to have adopted these two beautiful dogs. I mean look at them they are gorgeous!! We are going to call the trainer info you sent just been busy with tax season etc so after 4/15 will enroll them both in another obedience type of class.

We all (Bear & Moose included) think you are an amazing person with the work that you do to save animals with Mag Mutts. I can't even imagine anyone not wanting these two dogs so we feel so blessed to be lucky enough to adopt them. So thank you..thank you...thank you for completing our family.
See ya soon!

Honey and Picatso

Angie, it was good to see you at the last adoption event. Honey and her friend
Picatso took such a cute picture this afternoon that I had to share it with you.
This was the first time I caught them snuggling in one of the beds they have
around the apartment. Picatso is my little feral girl. They have really bonded.
Honey helps Picatso handle the things that make her uncomfortable (like getting
her nails trimmed and going to the vet) by keeping her calm. Enjoy!

Best Regards,
Rachel

Teddy and Figaro

Hello!

Hope you had wonderful holidays - we sure did. These two kitties are the best present ever! They are getting along very well - we all sit on the couch together with everyone having their own cushion. After naptime, Figaro will get up with a little chirp and take himself over to Teddy so that Ted will lick his head = its very cute. I try to take part in this cuddle session so they are getting used ot me being involved in this behavior.Sometimes I just go over and sit in between them so that we're all closer together.Fig isn't running off and hiding any more, and if something startles him he'll jump back but will come right back to investigate. He is very alert and playful, and loves to do what Teddy does. I'm so grateful we got the two of them because they are both so active and love to run and chase - its good they have a play pal!

Everything I read about Maine Coon Cats matches Teddy perfectly. We were wondering if he had his fur shaved when he first came to you as you told us he was covered in oil etc. He seems to be filling in nicely - even the tail. I was hoping hed develop the tufts on his ears like other maine coons

We are totally crazy about these guys they are so beautiful and lots of fun. Thanks!

Moscato aka Toto

Moscato (formerly toto). I'm letting him grow out for the winter :) Can you tell me what ever happened with his other brothers? I know one didn't make it through the parvo. I wonder about them sometimes and would also like to let his foster mom know that he is doing good! He's a crazy little handful!! And SPOILED!!
