Just wanted to say hi and to let you know Bowie/Buddy is doing good he has made himself comfortable he has 2 beds but he likes to lay in the bathroom attached is a picture of him with his new rawhide he really did not know what to do with at first

Adopted back in January of 2012. She is a perfect fit for their family. Happy to do things and be active or happy to just cuddle up and take a nap on the couch.

We adopted Eddy (formally known as Walker) on 1/4/14, right before the long, cold Chicago Winter. He has filled out nicely and is a beautiful Shepherd. We want to thank whoever had him before us, because they did a terrific job of socializing him. We are sure he must have been loved and want whoever to know that he is still being loved and is an important part of our family. He loves all dogs, big and small, and is always ready for a "Meet and Greet" on his walks around the neighborhood. We have received so many compliments on what a gorgeous dog he is. And you can tell from his picture that is no lie. Not only does he like other dogs, but he is always up for a little petting from the kids in the neighborhood. His favorite is the "booty scratch." In mid-July our town is opening a dog park and you can be sure Eddy will be a regular. Looking forward to spending many years with Ed as part of our family. Amour aka Amore

Good Morning-




We adopted Amour (Previously Amore') back in Feb this year and she has been such a JOY, we love her to pieces and is the perfect dog for us and other fur babies (2 cats). I was curious to what her bread was and had a DNA test done on her. I wanted to share her results with you and if you felt so inclined to share them with Pickadilly's new parents and Lourve's parents. It was very interesting to see, the results have not of course changed our love for her but we just wanted to know for knowledge, health precautions and behaviors associated with each breed. Originally we were told Chi-terrier but now see she is Russell Terrier and Beagle mix. It also lists the other possible gene/breeds in her ancestry too- Enjoy reading.

Hi Karen,

I just wanted to thank you and Magnificent Mutts (and all of your wonderful volunteers) for working with me until I was able to adopt Cucusa (now Stella). I love, love, love her and so do her new sisters (both Border Collies) Holly and Ivy. She became one of the girls almost immediately. She and her new sisters wrestle and chase each other and she does not let her tiny stature hold her back at all.

As you know, part of the reason we fell in love with her (initially), was because she looks so much like my daughter's Border Collie, Daisy. Well, it seems we are not the only ones who think this because the first time I took her to our vet he asked if I had found any mini sheep for her to herd because she looks just like a teeny tiny Border Collie.

Thank you again for Stella and for everything your group does to save lots of animals and bring so much joy into the lives of the families who adopt them!

Lily Poundcake aka Platinum

Just wanted to give you an update on our Lily...



In addition to completing all of her vaccinations and being spayed, Lily has settled right into her new life with us! She has been doing great with her potty training, and walks on the leash like a pro. Now a seasoned commuter, she has become the most pampered employee at my job. Next we are going to start puppy classes to refine her manners and make some new friends! We are so happy to have this little snuggle monster as a part of our lives, she fills every moment with love and joy, and we hope we do the same for her!

I just want everyone to know Buddy is doing real good he has found his forever home he is well behaved I am going to sign him up for some training classes he has met a lot of people and they love him and say how well behave he is then they ask where I got him and I tell them he came from Magnificent Mutts he really loves the car rides and enjoys going to the forest preserve I did take him to my vet just to check him out everything is good they put his chip in for me even cleaned his ears for me again I want to thank everyone Magnificent Mutts and Annie and her husband for taking such good care of him.

Sunni aka Tappi

Hi Karen,

I wanted to email you to let you know how Tappi (now Sunni) is doing. We decided to give her a new name with her fresh start. Shes such a bright little ray of sunshine that we felt Sunni was the best name for her. :)

She was VERY shy at 1st...extremely scared of all of us. She stayed on my kitchen rug for the 2 days and only moved when I took her outside to potty. Yesterday she really started to make a turn for the better. Getting excited to be fed, walking around to check out the living room, walking up to me to get a treat. We also put up a crate up for her since you said she was used to that at your home. She took to it right away, putting all her toys and dish in her little home.
This morning she walked to the stairs to say good bye to me when I left for work and let me pet her without turning away. Shes a such a sweetheart, we just love her.

Annabelle

Hi from Schatzie, Poppy (Pup-Pup) and Annabelle (Annabelle Lee). We are at "sleep-away camp" while mommy was out of town for work. The great kennel staff at Wheaton Animal Hospital got us to line up nice and pretty for a picture. We are doing great!!

Maizie

Hello,

Just an update and a few pictures of Maizie (formerly Dinky). Maizie is a fantastic (magnificent) little girl. She has quickly settled into her forever home as part of the family. She is happy and playful and definitely full of energy. Maizie and her big sister Zoey (also a rescue) are best buddies and inseperable. They love to explore the yard and play together. Tug-of-war is a favorite activity. We cannot thank you enought for letting her be part of our family!
