Mya

We picked up Mya from Wayne on 9/11/14. At 7months, 43 lbs, she is quite the busy little girl. Being a Beligian Malinois and still basically a puppy, if you don¡¦t keep her busy she will find something to do. And most of the time you won¡¦t like it.
We have been working with her walking skills along with agility and obedience commands. With a few tricks worked in to mix things up a bit. The cats are a continuing work in progress. Most of the time the poor cats come out a little slobbering wet from being licked and fleeced to death by Mya.
The neighbors have a few dogs which all run loose, one of which was a husky named Chance that would come over and we let him in our fenced yard to play. They got along great until he went missing two weeks ago. She¡¦s a bossy girl, but he was teaching her some dog-dog manners for usƒº since our dogs are old and don¡¦t want to play with her.

Mya

Wayne
Got no photos doing agility yet. But here are some shots. The husky is the neighbors dog who has gone missing for a week now. Would let him in the fenced yard with Mya for dog to dog training. And ware her down a bit. They just let the dogs loose 24/7, sad, he was a good dog.

Bogart aka Ringo

Hello! Just sending a little update on Ringo who has now been renamed Bogart. I have attached some pictures

Happy Tail

Hi Michelle --

As you can see, it has been almost two years since I adopted Smeagol (aka Sting). He is doing so well! When I took him home, he weighed only 2.4 lbs (he was the litter runt) and now he is a big boy at 30 lbs. Super tall and skinny. The vet thinks he is part greyhound! Attached is a current photo. I just wanted to touch base and let you know he was doing well!

Strip Mine 1 now Meg

Hi Michelle,
I thought if send you a quick update on Strip Mine 1 (her name is now Nutmeg
"Meg"). She is settling in great, growing and loves our other dog Bella. We did
one of those DNA tests in her & it came back with Belgium Malinois, Chinese
Shar-Pei, Chow Chow mix and mixed breed for her grandparents. Interesting
mix... She's a good girl and we're enjoying her.

Take Care,
Lisa Witek

Hudson is right at home!

I came to your event at Petco recently and initially had my heart set on a Wheaten Terrier that was up for adoption, but was running a few minutes late to the event. When I arrived, the dog I was interested in had already been adopted. Slightly disappointed, I decided to wander around the Petco to find treats and toys for my other dog and stumbled on a cute as can be dog that had a Blackhawks jersey on. I was complimenting the woman who had him on how cute he was and asked what kind of dog she had. She told me they guessed he was a Lab/Greyhound mix, but that they couldn't really be sure. I leaned down and began petting the cute, little guy and looked into his eyes and instantly fell in love. He was happy and super friendly. I just knew I had found my dog.

I've had Hudson for just over a week now and he's doing wonderful in his new home and getting along with his new sister, Mazie (a rescued Cairn Terrier). He's having a blast with his new dog friends at the dog park, playing in my backyard, and snuggling up in bed. He insists on sleeping right against me at night and follows me everywhere I go. I've always believed that everything happens for a reason and I definitely believe showing up late to the event was exactly as it was supposed to be. Thank you to the foster family who kept Hudson warm and safe until he found his permanent home. :)
