Kelly aka Keller's Happy Tail

Keller is a blind, approx. 1.5 year old gorgeous female German Shepherd that had so much love to give even after all she had been through. Story has it she was left outside in the bitter cold chained to a tree with no shelter. A friend of the neighbor with a very large heart purchased a used dog house and placed it on the property for this poor girl to get out of the cold. This same friend worked very hard to see if the people would relinquish the dog to a rescue or shelter group so they could possibly find her a forever home that would give her the love she so well deserved. Magnificent Mutts Rescue was the group that took her into their warm; loving home and provided her temporary love/shelter until they were able to find a forever home for her. As soon as she was posted on the website we instantly received an application from a wonderful family requesting a meeting with her. We thoroughly checked out their application and called them out to meet the foster parent Fran
and Keller at Petco in Hillside. It was love at first sight. They both said that they had to have her. We knew by just the short period of time that Mary and Tracy had so much love for the two dogs that they have already that they would be a great match for Keller. They brought pictures of their current dogs and told us how they already have a bed for Keller. We told them that if they were ready we could do paperwork right now and they could take her home with them. They were so excited, you could see it in their faces. They didn't realize that they could bring her home this very minute. It made us so very happy knowing that she was going to a home that was able to provide her with so much love and patience that she would need to bring her out of her protective shell. She just needs to know that someone loves her and will be there to protect her if needed. These are the two people that can do this for her. Our group thanks you so much for adopting this beautiful
girl from us. This story is not from the adopter it's from !

volunteer in the group.

They have recently sent us an update as to how she was doing and it was already posted a day or so ago. Attached are some before and after pictures.
