Ten Reasons To Volunteer At Magnificent Mutts!

Reason Ten:  Contribute to a cause you care about.  Whether your passion is dogs or cats, or helping people, becoming involved in a volunteer organization you care about makes it fun for you and for those you are committed to helping.
Reason Nine:  Meet people who share the same passion for your cause. Meeting people who share the same passion you have helps foster new friendships and makes helping animals fun!
Reason Eight:  Connect with the people in your community.  Being involved in a volunteer organization means getting out into your community and meeting the people who live there.
Reason Seven:  Feel better about yourself.  Nothing feels better than finding a forever home for an abandoned or abused animal, and knowing you helped make it happen!
Reason Six:  Develop new skills or enhance the ones you already have!  You might have a knack for fundraising or teaching a dog a new trick, but you need to find an outlet to use them or learn from someone else who already knows how.  Volunteering provides an opportunity for both!
Reason Five:  It's good for you mentally and physically.  Volunteering relieves stress . . . and we're not just saying that!  Volunteering puts your mind on something other than yourself, which takes the pressure off if even for a few hours.  Research has also shown it puts you in a better mood as well.
Reason Four:  Builds your resume and job skills.  Volunteering provides a forum for you to brush up on your communication, written, and people skills!
Reason Three:  It saves time and money.  As we all know volunteers don't get paid, but did you know the time and money then goes back to the organization you volunteer for.  So the time and money that would have been spent on an employee actaully goes to helping save more dogs and cats . . . the more volunteers the more animals we can help.
Reason Two:  Teaching others to give back.  When you become a volunteer, you talk about it with your friends and family.  Your setting an example for your kids and for others when you are a volunteer.
Reason One:  You make a difference!  There is a famous quote that says, ". . . Saving one pet won't change the world, but surely the world will change for that one pet.”  This is very true for each and every pet we rescue, and the mission of our organization.  Without our volunteers, we could not do what we do.  Thanks to all our volunteers!
