Allie Update

HI,

We're not stuck on a name yet, but I just looked at the LR couch. Three big quilts are folded so nicely and stacked on it with 3 fluffy pillows making a big tower that reaches all the way up the back. On top is a princes fuzzy (we call it puppy lips) blankie and on top of all of that (princess and the pea) is that cute, cute puppy. Curled up and snoring like a drunken sailor.

Sitting straight behind and above her on the top of the couch is ZsaZsa, our very fluffy gray mainecoon girl. Her huge tail is curled around and framing the pup. I can't believe they're attached so soon. ZsaZsa thinks she's puppy's mother.

This is the smartest pup I've ever met. She's made friends with everyone, even the crabby foster cat that was staying her 'just 3 days' and is still her 4 years later. Fanny can have a short fuse (all talk) but that does not phase Wonder Pup; she's just stares and walks backwards. The younger kitten hisses and teases so Pupper hides behind corners and shocks her. The other cat makes the pup lick her!

She's a pretty calm girl, loves to play ball...can't believe she gets it and brings it to us...no ready to give it up yet but will trade for food. If we're good, she's good about potty training. She can climb over anything so we're teaching her that's not what we do here. She's pushy, sassy, tells us what she wants us to do, hides her toys and 'discovers' them later. I'm starting to hide them from her and she's catching on. I can't believe how smart she is being so young.

She has to hop BIG hops to get up the stairs but she goes really fast cuz she gets a treat when she comes in after pooping outside. I'm so GLAD she's a chow hound, so easy for training. It's crazy having to go to work 24 more days, but Mr. Tom the Pup Sitter takes her during the day. She comes home to nap AM and PM for 2 hours and the rest she's out and about with him. She eats a lot of crap outside...so fast it's really hard to stop her all the time, and poops something ugly, but this too shall pass (pun intended).

After so many needy fosters in a row, I remember now how fun it is to have a normal, smart mutt. And she's a pisol! Barks this tiny bark at the door! She's just too, too cute. Later...
